Privacy Statement
PRIVACY STATEMENT
Liberty Tattoo Supply, LLC
1 SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Liberty Tattoo Supply, LLC (“Liberty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this store, including sales of Vulcan-branded products. This Privacy Statement describes how we handle personal information in connection with our website, customer accounts, purchases, professional verification, customer service, and related communications. It applies to information about individuals, including people acting for tattoo establishments and other business customers.
This statement provides information about our practices; visiting our website or accepting our Terms of Service does not by itself constitute consent to optional processing where separate consent is required. Contact details and request methods appear in Section 12.
2 INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND ITS SOURCES
Information you provide includes your name, business or studio name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account information, orders, and communications. For professional verification, it can include an applicable license, business registration, professional affiliation, studio details, or other evidence you submit. Return and safety inquiries can include product photographs, lot numbers, and descriptions of a problem. Public reviews and images you choose to submit can contain personal information.
When you visit the store, technical information can include your IP address, browser and device information, pages and products viewed, referral information, cart activity, and interactions with the store. Cookies and similar technologies help collect this information as described in Section 5.
We receive information from Shopify and payment providers about payments, transaction status, and fraud screening; from shipping providers about fulfillment and delivery; and from people authorized to act for you. We may check professional information you provide against relevant public business or licensing sources.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, full payment-card details, client medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information through email, reviews, or routine support requests. Redact information not needed for professional verification or a product claim. If a safety investigation requires additional information, contact us for appropriate instructions.
3 HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to process and fulfill orders; manage accounts and payments; verify professional eligibility and purchasing authority; communicate about orders, returns, refunds, warranties, and recalls; respond to questions and accessibility requests; and maintain transaction and business records.
We also use relevant information to detect fraud, secure the store, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims. Store-use information helps us understand performance and improve customer experience. Marketing and optional tracking are subject to the choices and applicable requirements described below. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different uses when law requires it.
4 SHARING AND SHOPIFY SERVICES
We disclose information as reasonably needed to Shopify and providers supporting payments, hosting, fulfillment, shipping, customer communications, and store operations. Relevant information may also be provided to manufacturers or warranty providers for product claims and safety investigations, and to professional advisers assisting with accounting, insurance, or legal matters. Providers’ responsibilities depend on their services, agreements, and applicable law.
Shopify hosts our store and processes information when you visit or purchase. Shopify also processes certain information for its own purposes as explained in its Consumer Privacy Policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers. Where Shopify Network Intelligence and related Enhanced Services are enabled, Shopify may combine information from interactions with this store, other merchants, and Shopify to provide and improve services, including personalization and advertising. Shopify’s privacy controls are available at https://privacy.shopify.com/en. These Shopify controls do not replace requests to Liberty about information Liberty controls.
We may disclose information to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect people and systems, investigate suspected unlawful activity, or establish or defend legal rights. A suspected Terms of Service violation does not give us an unrestricted right to disclose personal information.
Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, sale, financing, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal protections. Content you submit for public display, such as a review, may be visible to others.
5 COOKIES ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING CHOICES
Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as account access, shopping carts, checkout, fraud prevention, and remembering preferences. Optional technologies, where used, can support analytics, personalization, measurement, or advertising. Their operation depends on the services enabled and applicable privacy choices.
Where a cookie banner, privacy-preferences control, or sale-or-sharing opt-out control is provided on the store, use it to manage the covered processing. You may also contact us using Section 12. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from working. Choices may be specific to a browser or device and may need to be repeated after cookies are cleared.
Where required by applicable law, we obtain consent before nonessential tracking and honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control. Advertising-related disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy law even without an exchange of money. You may request an applicable opt-out through Section 12. A general browser Do Not Track setting is different from a legally recognized opt-out preference signal.
6 PAYMENTS AND SECURITY
Payment information is handled through Shopify and the payment services used at checkout. We receive information needed to administer the transaction, such as payment status and transaction references. Payment providers may retain information under their own policies and legal obligations. Transaction and order records are not necessarily deleted when checkout is complete.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. No system or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your account credentials, use secure payment channels, and contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. This statement does not guarantee a particular encryption method or that a security incident can never occur.
7 RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including fulfilling purchases, providing support, maintaining required business records, handling safety matters, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations. Relevant criteria include the information’s nature and sensitivity, account and transaction history, warranty or recall needs, tax and accounting requirements, dispute periods, and legal holds.
Professional-verification documents should be limited to what is needed to confirm eligibility and support lawful recordkeeping. Unsubscribe and privacy-request records may be retained to honor your preferences and demonstrate compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or deidentify it as appropriate, subject to lawful retention and backup-management requirements.
8 MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Where we send promotional email, you can unsubscribe using the link in the message or contact us. We obtain consent where required and honor opt-out requests within applicable deadlines. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary order, account, safety, or legal communications.
If we offer an SMS marketing program, enrollment is subject to its separate disclosures and any required consent. Providing a telephone number for delivery or accepting our Terms of Service does not by itself authorize promotional texts. Follow the opt-out instructions in any program you join or contact us for assistance.
9 YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, the law that applies, and relevant exemptions, you may have rights to obtain information about our processing; access or receive a portable copy of your personal information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; withdraw consent; object to or restrict processing; or opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Applicable law may also give you rights concerning sensitive information and an appeal of a denied request.
Submit a request using Section 12 and describe the right you want to exercise. We may verify your identity and authority using information reasonably necessary for the request. We will not require unnecessary sensitive information. An authorized agent may act where permitted, subject to reasonable proof of authority. For opt-outs that law does not allow us to condition on identity verification, we will not impose that condition.
We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful extension or denial. Rights are subject to exceptions, including records needed for legal obligations, security, or legal claims. Where an appeal right applies, reply to our decision or contact us with “Privacy Appeal” and the reasons for your appeal. You may also complain to the appropriate privacy regulator. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal. If requested deletion prevents us from providing an account or transaction service, we will explain the effect.
10 INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING AND EXTERNAL SERVICES
Liberty operates in the United States. Shopify and other service providers may process information in other countries, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguards, we will use the required protections. Use of our store is not a blanket waiver of those requirements. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards.
External websites and services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information. Leaving our site does not end Liberty’s obligations concerning information we already hold.
11 CHILDREN
Our store is intended for adult professional purchasers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion as required. Professional purchasing eligibility and age requirements are addressed separately in our Terms of Service.
